In 2019, I graduated from the Conservation of Cultural Heritage restoration course in England. This undergraduate course gave me a broad insight into the restoration of objects, including ceramics, wood and archaeological materials, eventually specialising in paper and book restoration. For the first few years, I worked with experienced conservators who taught me the tricks of the trade. I also gained a lot of knowledge about managing and preserving a collection, cleaning different objects, the relationship between fungi and cultural heritage and what to do in the aftermath of a disaster. Finally, in 2022, I decided to set up my own company dedicated to paper and book restoration and cultural heritage management. Besides running my own business, I also work as a management and conservation specialist at the Brabants Historical Information Centre in Den Bosch for three days a week.
